Why/how I started cycling?
I started cycling in an attempt to become a better multi-sport athlete.

Date started cycling:
1970 - Age 4

First bike:
Schwinn 10 speed

Current cycling motivation:
My current motivation is to improve my overall fitness, speed and endurance. Just riding with the Frazier group and wanting to prove that I can hang every ride is motivation enough to push beyond my comfort zone.

Goals and cycling interests:
I want to qualify for the Hawaii Ironman World Championships. I just completed my first Ironman Triathlon and it was such a great experience that I really want to build a base and improve speed and endurance to the point of qualifying for the big one in Hawaii.

Other interesting facts:
I have a supportive wife, Kristin, and two children who let me spend a number of hours training every week.

Best/favorite sport:
Triathlons, duathlons, and running.

Number of bikes:
Three - a mountain bike with a child seat, a road bike, and a triathlon bike.

Dream bike:
A Cervelo P3

Favorite Ride:
The Flowery Branch 50 with my cycling friends.

Longest Ride:
147 miles, Chattanooga Ride, April 26, 2003.

Fastest race/ride:
August 10, 2003. Lunch-time 20-mile course, 26.724 mph.

Worst crash:
Completing one of my first rides with the cycling group, I hit a curb and went over the handlebars into a ditch. It took about three weeks to recover from the bruised ego and rib damage.
