June 2001. Borrowed Steve Kester's training bike to race in the
Lake Lanier Biathlon.
Kept riding through the summer and completed several triathlons.
Kester
introduced me to Frazier Cycling and I have been hooked since.
Current
cycling motivation:
Fit for life. Develop a fitness routine that is manageable with
both family and work.
Goals
and cycling interests:
Complete a half-ironman. Given the current pace it will likely
take another year to achieve.
Other interesting facts:
Multi-sports:
swimming, cycling, running. Travel to the west coast almost weekly
and try to get at least one swim in the SF Bay each week.
Best/favorite
sport:
While not the best, my favorite is running. I can run almost anywhere.
It is usually my only chance to exercise and see the sights when
I travel.
Coolest
runs:
Sao Paulo, Munich, Paris, Vancouver, Amsterdam.
Worst:
Hong Kong, Johannesburg, Rio de Janeiro.
Cycling accomplishments:
Completed 90+ miles of the Cobbly Nob ride to North Carolina 2002.
Favorite ride:
Flowery Branch 50.

race/ride:
Richmond, VA to Williamsburg and back (105 miles)
Fastest
race/ride:
24.5 Office Park ride.
Cycling - 3-mile Individual Time Trial: 0:7:18, 24.66 mph
Worst crash:
None - so far, thank God.
