4th ANNUAL CYCLE FOR PARKINSONS-June 27-28, 2009
Benefiting Georgia Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association
(Gwinnett County, GA) – During the weekend of June 27th and 28th, bicycle racers from around the southeast will converge on Gwinnett County with two thoughts in mind, first and foremost to help “ease the burden and find a cure” for those suffering with Parkinsons Disease, and to claim a portion of the over $3,000 prize purse.
Frazier Cycling, with the Gwinnett Sports Commission and Top View Sports will join forces to host the two days of bike racing. Top View Sports will produce the Saturday, June 27th road race in Gwinnett County. Day two will take place on the beautiful campus of Georgia Gwinnett College, which has been a venue of the Allgood Cycle For Parkinsons all four years. The Sunday race at Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville is also a very spectator friendly venue to view bike racing, up close and personal, as cyclists will wiz by at speeds between 25 to 30 miles an hour on the 0.8 mile criterium course.
In the past three years, Frazier Cycling has raised over $10,000 for the Georgia Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association through the Allgood Cycle For Parkinsons event. This year’s event is included in the Georgia Cycling Gran Prix, Georgia’s newest bike race points series which includes 12 events between February and August. Continue Reading
