2009 Hills Skills and Thrills Cycling Camp, June 2-6

Our first year to hold camp at John Tanner State Park in Carrollton, Georgia was a huge success. We had 33 junior cyclists attending. Here is feedback from parents and guests:

Luke really enjoyed camp and felt like he benefited a lot, as well as had fun - a winning combination!

Thank you for doing such a great job at camp. Justin and the boys I heard from said it was so much fun. They talked and told stories non stop.

My son, an avid tri-athlete, had the opportunity to really refine his cycling skills with the coaching and guidance provided at the camp. Two of the most memorable experiences that he walked away with were the skills of working as a team in the criterium training and the experience he gained in working his way through the pack and attacking on the road racing portion of the agenda. The facilities were perfect to provide a great camp experience and the food was great and provided enough fuel to support the over 100 miles of riding in 4 days. As a parent and as a USA Cycling coach I would highly recommend the Frazier Cycling camp and Frazier Cycling program to any aspiring cyclist! It is a great program with great coaches who will get your junior cyclist to the next level!

I believe that is one of the most exciting athletic programs that I have ever witnessed. To see kids so dedicated to the sport, I could not wipe the smile from my face the whole day.

Camp 2009

Welcome to our Hills, Skills and Thrills Cycling Camp, 2008

Our 4 day cycling camp is open to all Frazier Cycling Juniors and as many outside juniors we can accommodate.  We have out-grown our camp on Lake Greenwood in Hodges, S.C and moved to a larger facility to accommodate more juniors.  This year our 2009 Hills, Skills and Thrills will be held June 2-6 at John Tanner State Park in Carrollton, Georgia.

Frazier Cycling’s Junior Cycling Camps are open to junior cyclists between 8 and 18 and their parents. Our camps are based on the principles we use in our Frazier Cycling Juniors Development Program which USA Cycling calls “an excellent role model for other junior development initiatives”. Parents have the opportunity to participate in the program and experience camp with their children.

Camp Page Testimonials:

I asked the boys for their "keeper" (the thing they came away feeling the best about) for the week.  Fletcher's was the experience of going 40mph when motopacing and Hunter's was his result in the time trial. They're both feeling very good about the experience so thanks again.

Thanks for arranging and putting on the Camp.  All three of the kids really enjoyed themselves.  Funny that all three found bumping practice the best exercise.  They were so excited about learning how to maintain their bikes that they spent two hours cleaning them on Monday!

We wanted to tell you how much we appreciated another fun and informative cycling camp for the kids.  It was Alli's second experience and Will's first and they both said they are looking forward to next year's camp.  They both learned a lot and were pushed and encouraged in the competitive environment provided by Frazier Cycling.  Please pass our thanks along to Coach Frazier and Coach Kelli for teaching our kids everything from bicycle maintenance to 'bumping".  They both learned new skills they can put into practice to make them better and safer cyclist.  Thanks also for the delicious meals, nutritious snacks and drinks...my kids loved the food.  They really enjoyed the camaraderie with their fellow cyclist. Thanks again for a great camp.
