June 2, 2011

Frazier Cycling's David Goodman and Andrew Hodges were selected by Coach Frank Ecckman to join his international juniors team, "Above Category", to compete in the annual Ster der Vlaamse Ardennen stage race in Belgium.  The stage race includes four races in three days.  It begins on Saturday, June 11, stage 1, a 105 km road race.  There will be two races on Sunday, June 12.  Early Sunday morning, Stage 2 will be a 10 km team time trial.   In the afternoon, David and Andrew will race stage 3, a 93.6 km road race.  The Ster der Vlaamse Ardennen will conclude on Monday, June 13 with a 115 km road race.

The team is made up for six racers. Jim Anderson will direct the team: Alex Darville, David Goodman, Andrew Hodges, Chandler Knop, Chris Wynman, and Rhys Rathbun.  The team is staying at the Chainstay in Oudenaarde. This weekend the team will ride two kermesse races (most likely Otegem and Roosdaal).  For these races, David and Andrew will represent Frazier Cycling.

David and Andrew flew to Belgium from Atlanta Hartsfield on Wednesday afternoon, June 1, 2011.
