The Georgia State Junior Road Race Championships were included as a part of the Gwinnett Bike Fest.  The state junior road races were held on Friday, July 23, 2010 at Harbins Park, Dacula, Georgia.  The younger juniors, ages 10 to 14, raced two laps around the hilly 7.3-mile circuit; whereas, the older juniors, ages 15 to 18, raced three laps.

The Frazier Cycling Junior team won three state junior road race championships and a total of six state championship medals.

For the Men's 10-12 age group, our Teja (Prithvi) Gummadi, 12, won the 14.6-mile race in solo fashion with James Todd, 12, taking the silver medal.  In addition to his state road race championship, Teja was the overall Junior 10-12 Gwinnett Bike Fest winner; thereby earning two championships for the week!

Abigail Aldridge, 13, won the Women's 13-14 Georgia State Junior Road Race Championship in dominating fashion.  Abigail finished in the field with the boys leaving the other girls far behind.  Her teammate, Caleigh Hebert, 14, took the bronze.  This was Caleigh's first appearance in a state championship event.

Jonathan Cucaz, 15, won the Men's 15-16 state road race championship by finishing in third place overall in the 21.9-mile race that included all juniors between the ages of 15 to 18.

Rounding out our medals, Nick Frazier, 18, took the bronze for the Men's 17-18 state road race.

Each of our winners was presented with a Georgia State Champion Jersey during the podium presentations following the races.
